Give your AI agent a usable brand voice.

Give your agent examples you would publish and explain what works in them. Save the guidance in one place, then use a real draft to check whether the instructions are clear.

Put it into practice.

  1. Start with actual sentences.

Choose examples that sound like your product today. Include a caption and a practical explanation if you need both styles. Avoid a list of adjectives such as “bold, authentic, friendly” without showing what those words mean.

  2. Explain the choices.

Mark which words the reader uses and how the sentence describes the product. Write down phrases you avoid and why. Keep factual restrictions separate: voice cannot authorize an unsupported promise.

  3. Save one guide.

Give the file a clear name and ask the agent to read it before drafting. Sprid’s bootstrap skill reads an existing voice guide before preparing content. Preserve an existing guide when it already does the job. Update it when you accept a correction that should apply to future copy.

  4. Test it on a new post.

Ask for a draft about a different feature using the same guidance. Read it aloud. Correct the sentence that feels wrong, then add that correction only if it teaches a reusable rule.

Read these approved examples and our existing voice guide, if present. Identify the concrete writing choices they share. Draft a short guide with examples and phrases to avoid. Then write a social post about this feature using that guide. Keep product facts separate and flag any claim that needs a source. Show the draft before changing our existing guide.

Adapt to the format.

A slide headline needs fewer words than a support answer. Keep the same vocabulary while changing the length and amount of explanation.

Keep sources alongside the brief.

Store feature availability and other changing claims with their evidence. Review those claims when the product changes, even if the writing still sounds right.

How do I make AI posts sound less generic?

Give the draft a concrete subject and a real example. Replace vague benefits with an action the reader can picture. Then compare the wording with copy you have already approved.

Does a voice guide stop hallucinations?

No. It describes how to write. Check what the draft claims against product evidence and current sources before publishing.

A voice guide supplies instructions; it does not guarantee an agent will follow every rule.
